Gas hydrates can already form at temperatures of around +20 °C. The videos show some of the conditions under which the hydrates form and provide valuable background information. The gas hydrate autoclave GHA200 was used. The video on gas hydrate formation was produced on the occasion of an exhibition in the Paul Löbe House of the German Bundestag in cooperation with the GEOMAR Helmholtz Center for Ocean Research Kiel.
