New Product Video: The Wax Flow Loop in Action
How do wax deposits form inside pipelines — and how can these processes be realistically reproduced in the laboratory?
Our new product video of the PSL Wax Flow Loop provides the answer.
The video demonstrates how this fully automated laboratory system simulates real pipeline conditions to precisely analyze the precipitation and deposition of waxes, paraffins, and asphaltenes. From sample preparation and temperature control to real-time data evaluation, viewers gain a compact yet detailed insight into the performance of this powerful flow assurance instrument.
Realistic simulation of pipeline conditions
The PSL Wax Flow Loop enables the investigation of wax deposition under defined temperature and shear conditions. Using exchangeable model pipelines and continuous measurement of differential pressure and temperature, both wall deposition processes and crystallization phenomena within the fluid can be monitored with high precision.
A key highlight is the use of real-time diagrams, which provide meaningful data during the test run itself. This allows rapid and reliable evaluation of inhibitor efficiency as well as the performance of dissolvers.
Efficient testing with minimal sample volume
Meaningful results can already be achieved with low sample volumes. Automated procedures, integrated control software, and automatic cleaning after each test ensure high reproducibility and efficient laboratory workflows.
Standard models as well as customized configurations allow optimal adaptation to individual testing requirements
